- Winemaking Notes
Made from 100% Pinot Noir from the Quarry Road Vineyard, this is our second Spark Rose since 2009. Crafted in the Traditional Method, this wine spent 12 months on the lees. The first thing you will notice is the beautiful salmon colour, soon
followed by the fruit forward, fresh and bright aromas of strawberry, pink grapefruit and hints of toasted almond. The strawberry notes carry through to the palate. The finish is tart, dry and refreshing.
- Growing Conditions
From the Certified Organic and Biodynamic Quarry Road Estate Vineyard. Viticultural practices included vertical shoot positioning, shoot thinning, leaf thinning and hand-harvesting.
- Food Pairing
This sparkling wine can be served as an aperitif on the patio paired alongside honey, lime shrimp skewers, salmon tartare or a spinach salad with
goat cheese and strawberries. Of course, a delightful wine like this is also perfect all on its own.

Pinot noir of nice aromatic restraint. Pink grapefruit, lemon in an arranged but controlled level of tart. Grabs all parts of the mouth and won’t let go. Great persistence and a certain level of aridity that really works so ultimately considered as an effective if verging on great sparkling Rosé. Drink 2018-2022. Tasted blind at NWAC18, June 2018.
Aromas of red berry fruit, flinty minerality and cherry provide segue to a lighter-hued, bubbly wash of palate-bathing ripe red fruit—cherry, plum and raspberry—well textured with good mouthfeel. The dry, mouth-watering finish layers on good acidity and notions of chalky minerality. This is made in the traditional method and layers on citrus notes and chalky minerality on the lingering aftertaste. Pour alongside sushi, ceviche or bouillabaisse.
