Winemakers Comments -
This wine is truly our flagship Chardonnay. The 2010 vintage was hot, and resulted in exceptional ripeness. This wine was fermented and aged in 100% French Oak barriques. A year in barrel was followed by a six months in stainless steel before bottling. While exhibiting the typical character of the vineyard, this wine does reflect the warm vintage. The characteristic aromas of citrus and ripe apple are wrapped with hints of stone fruit and tropical fruit. The French oak and detectable minerality complete the beautifully layered nose. On the palate, the wine generously fulfills the promise of the nose, delivering ripe citrus and apple, with nuances of peach, and pineapple flavors. Great structure, with a rich, full, and slightly creamy mouth feel. A wonderful, lingering finish completes the experience!

Food Pairings
With food, allow this wine to show its characteristic finesse by serving it with foods of medium weight and intensity. Carefully seasoned filet of beef or pork, roasted chicken with herbs, or duck confit are great choices. Also try stuffed turkey or cedar plank salmon.

Reviews and Accolades - 93 points

This tour de force is a shining beacon for terroir-driven chardonnay.  It's fresh and clean on the nose, with a stream of minerality, soft green apple, lemon-citrus zest and such elegant spices in the background.  On the palate, oh my!  An opulent, vivacious wine with tremendous quince, toffee-oak spices and mineral flavours that are persistent, yet beautifully elegant and build in intensity in the mouth.  It's lavish and weighty, but lifted by firm acidity through a long, long finish.
