Moray Tawse

In addition to founding the winery that bears his family name, Moray Tawse is also a wine aficionado. After realizing the potential of winemaking in Niagara, Moray purchased his first 6 acres of vineyards in 2001 and opeened his showcase winery in 2005.  In his first vintage 2001 he made 200 cases. The original intents was to focus narrowly on Burgundy varieties, with high density plantings of organically farmed chardonnay and pinot noir.  Today, having acquired over 200 acres he now produces 30,000 cases and has one of the largest portfolio's in the Niagara region.
