Winemakers Comments
The Laidlaw Pinot tends to be our most substantial pinot, and the 2009 vintage is no exception. Great structure creates a great mouthfeel, as juicy acidity and silky tannin fill the palate. Flavors of ripe cherries and smokey brown mushrooms round out the experience, maintaining a mouth-filling balance. The presence on the palate lingers, creating a long enjoyable finish.

Food Pairings
This pinot stretches the food pairing potential because of its substantial structure. Consequently, it works with virtually all of your favorites. Barbecued meats and sausages, or any stronger flavors, would be good choices with this wine. It is, however, also soft enough to fit with light meats, or vegetarian fare like roasted vegetable pasta.
